Focuses on visual character development from descriptions, scripts, reference, or biographies. Including research, observation, experimentation, and construction.
Animation: 3D Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, and Rendering, 3 credits, Spring 2025
Intermediate study of 3D computer animation. Topics include modeling, animation, surfaces, lighting, and rendering.
Glass: Introduction, 3 credits, Spring 2025
Introduction to studio glass, history and practice. Emphasis on beginning techniques of blown glass, fused glass, and cold working processes.
Traditional Animation Techniques, 3 credits, Fall 2024
Introduces classic animation principles, experimentation, observation, professional practices, and project refinement. (no more than 2 lines)
Animation: Introduction to 3D, 3 credits, Fall 2024
Introduces techniques, including 3D modeling, digital lighting and shading, and basic animation. Autodesk Maya is the primary software of this course.
Animation: Introduction to Illustration, 3 credits, Fall 2024
Introduces long-established and contemporary practices in Illustration. Students learn to use creative processes to communicate and solve conceptual problems.
Drawing: The Figure, 3 credits, Fall 2024
Life drawing and intensive study of the human figure. Descriptive, expressive, interpretive and technical methods of imagining the figure are explored.
